Mens Club

The Final Season 1979 - 2019

The Tall Timber Men’s Club was formed on August 10, 1990, when Frank Dennedy organized a small group of men interested in forming a club.  It was decided at that meeting that Mr. Dennedy would serve as the club’s first President and that play in the club would commence the following spring.  The initial goal of the Men’s Club was to have 80 members but interest grew rapidly and a membership of 175 participated in the inaugural year.

The Tall Timber Men’s Club plays Saturday mornings from mid March through September.  From the outset, it was decided that each participant would have an equal chance of winning the top prize.  Players compete against other players with similar abilities and handicaps always level the field.  Although players are encouraged to play their best, the Tall Timber Men’s Club is highly social.  What happens après golf on Saturdays is equally important as to the play on the golf course.

The Men’s Club is open to all male golfers of any skill level, aged 19 and older.  The basic requirement is a willingness to participate and have fun.  The current Men’s Club dues are $120 which includes a registered Golf Canada Handicap, weekly tournament prizes, and the year end banquet.

Brent Lindberg (r) presents the Tall Timber Claret Jug to the Champion Golfer of the Year, Don Gerard (l).  Don also took top spot is both the Men's & Sr. Men's Chapionships.
